LEC 2025 Season Overview
The 2025 League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) used three standalone splits. Winter, Spring, and Summer each crowned a champion; the previous Championship Points and Season Finals system was removed.
Tournament Format & Rules
Winter & Spring Regular Seasons:
- All 10 partnered teams played a single round robin.
- Winter matches were Best-of-one (Bo1); Spring matches were Best-of-three (Bo3) with Fearless Draft.
- Winter's top 8 and Spring's top 6 advanced to their respective playoffs.
Summer Groups & Cross-Play:
- Teams are split into two groups of five based on previous split performance.
- The Cross-play Decider phase acts as a "last chance" for 3rd and 4th place group finishers to enter the final playoff bracket.
The Playoffs:
- Each split playoff uses a double-elimination bracket; Summer begins with two cross-play deciders.
- Fearless Draft: Once a champion is picked in a series, it cannot be picked again by either team for the remainder of that series. This applies to all Playoff matches.
