LEC 2024 Season Overview

The 2024 LEC Season was the second year of the three-split format, culminating in the Season Finals. It became one of the most statistically dominant years in European history, as G2 Esports achieved a clean sweep of the Winter, Spring, and Summer trophies, as well as the Season Finals title.

Tournament Format

Regular Season (Winter, Spring, Summer):

  • Single Round Robin: All 10 teams play each other in Best-of-one (Bo1) matches.
  • Top 8 teams qualify for the Playoffs.

Playoffs:

  • A double-elimination bracket where Round 1 and Lower Bracket matches are Bo3, and Upper Finals/Grand Finals are Best-of-five (Bo5).

Season Finals:

  • The top 6 teams based on Championship Points qualify for the final roadshow event to determine the LEC Champion and World Championship seeds.
