LEC 2023 Season Overview

The 2023 LEC Season introduced a revolutionary new format to EMEA. Moving away from the traditional two-split system, the year was divided into Winter, Spring, and Summer splits, followed by the Season Finals. This year saw the rise of Team BDS and the consistent dominance of G2 Esports.

Tournament Format

Stage 1: Regular Season

  • Single Round Robin (Bo1) involving all 10 teams.
  • The Top 8 teams advance to the Group Stage.

Stage 2: Group Stage

  • Two GSL-style groups of four. All matches are Best-of-three (Bo3).
  • The Top 2 from each group advance to the Playoffs.

Stage 3: Playoffs

  • A four-team double-elimination bracket (Bo5) to crown the split champion.
