ONGOING EVENT — current through October 10, 2026. Worlds begins on October 15. All 19 teams have qualified, but the CBLOL seed order and Play-In draw were still pending at this cutoff. No tournament matches have been played.

The 2026 League of Legends World Championship concludes the global competitive season in the United States. Nineteen teams compete across Los Angeles, Allen, and Brooklyn from October 15 through November 14.

Regional Berths

  • Korea (LCK): 4 teams
  • China (LPL): 4 teams
  • EMEA (LEC): 3 teams
  • North America (LCS): 3 teams
  • Asia-Pacific (LCP): 3 teams
  • Brazil (CBLOL): 2 teams

Stage 1: Play-In (October 15–18)

  • Four teams play a six-series, double-elimination bracket.
  • Every series is best-of-five; one team advances to the Swiss Stage.
  • The field is LEC #3, LCS #3, LCP #3, and CBLOL #2.
  • The fully random draw has no pools or regional restrictions.

Stage 2: Swiss Stage (October 23–26 & 28–31)

  • Sixteen teams play up to five rounds against teams with the same match record.
  • Teams advance after three match wins and are eliminated after three match losses.
  • Rounds 1 and 2 are best-of-one. From Round 3 onward, advancement and elimination matches are best-of-three; other matches remain best-of-one.
  • Round 1 pairs Tier 1 against Tier 4 and Tier 2 against Tier 3, with no same-region matchup. Later rounds prohibit rematches.

Stage 3: Knockout Stage (November 3–8 & 14)

  • Eight teams enter a best-of-five, single-elimination bracket.
  • The two 3–0 Swiss teams are drawn against two 3–2 teams and placed on opposite halves of the bracket.
  • Quarterfinals run November 3–6, semifinals November 7–8, and the final November 14.
