TCL 2013 – LoL Esports Wiki

2013: The Pre-TCL Era

Before the establishment of the formalized Turkish Championship League (TCL) in 2014, the 2013 Season 3 Circuit laid the groundwork for competitive League of Legends in Turkey. The year was defined by massive offline tournaments.

2013 Format Rules

Circuit Style: Instead of long regular seasons, the region operated on a circuit of seeded knockout tournaments.
Bracket Format: Single Elimination. Quarterfinals and Semifinals were Best-of-Three (Bo3), while the Grand Finals were Best-of-Five (Bo5).
Season 3 Championship: The culmination of the year. Six teams were invited based on Circuit Standings, joined by two qualifier teams.
International Qualification: The winner of the Season 3 Turkish Championship earned a seed at the International Wildcard Tournament at Gamescom for a chance to go to the Season 3 World Championship.
