Riot gives ADCs more early magic resistance as bot-lane mages rise

Patch 26.16 raises early magic resistance for a listed group of marksmen while flattening its per-level growth. Riot says mages have become prominent bot-lane picks in pro and regular play.

Why it matters

The adjustment is intended to equalize mage and ADC power early without removing bot mages. It should alter early magic-damage matchups, though the actual pick-rate and win-rate response remains unverified.

What the sources establish

  • The listed ADC group changes from 30 magic resistance plus 1.3 per level to 33 plus 1.1 per level.
  • Tristana changes from 28 magic resistance plus 1.3 per level to 33 plus 1.1 per level.
  • Riot describes bot-lane mages as prominent in both professional and regular play.
